As part of CBC’s 75th anniversary celebration Feist performed a special concert at the CBC’s Glenn Gould Studio.
Holy Moly… great live show, Ms. Feist.

Choir!Choir!Choir! is probably the coolest thing to do in Toronto on a Tuesday night.
I’m so going to his show on the 29th.
Dan Mangan. His highly anticipated follow to Nice Nice Very Nice, called Oh Fortune, officially comes out next Tuesday (9/27) on Arts & Crafts! MEGA HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wanting to gush about how I’m in love with this man but feeling like it’ll discredit the fact that I really like his music too… *le sigh*
Broken Social Scene to take indefinite hiatus
Broken Social Scene front man Kevin Drew often remarks onstage at the collective’s live shows that BSS “is not a band, we’re just a bunch of people making music.” But soon, they will be neither as Drew has told Pitchfork that his band bunch of people making music will be taking an indefinite hiatus after playing a few last shows this month and next. A VERY SHE & HIM CHRISTMAS. She & Him has announced a release date (Oct 25) and track list for their upcoming Xmas album! Thank goodness they only sing the classics, including my faves, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Sleigh Ride and Baby It’s Cold Outside. I can’t even tell you how excited this makes me - I cannot contain myself right now. I really can’t. Seriously. Not even joking.
I’m in.

TIMELESS MUSIC IS TIMELESS.
Geri quitting is, I’m sure, the root of my disillusionment in the face of optimism. That’s probably the gayest story about how a cynic was born.

CHARTS, DIAGRAMS AND BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE!
This, officially, just made my day.

Why is this the coolest thing ever? Sooooo great.
These guys. Friends of mine, and amazingly-talented young men. Keep an eye out for their album this Fall.
