Is inspired to live to love.
Thank you Jack for the example you set. You’ll live on in the generous hearts of Canadians everywhere.
News Flash : Feist Follow Up Album Revealed
In news that has excited us no end, Feist returns with her highly anticipated new album, Metals, via Cherrytree/Interscope on October 4th.. It’s the follow-up to her 2007 breakout The Reminder. The 12-song album was recorded in Toronto and Big Sur, with Feist collaborating with frequent partners in crime Chilly Gonzales and Mocky, as well as producer Valgeir Sigurðsson.
Look for a ( probably glowing ) review of this album in the near future.
CANNOT WAIT
ROLE MODEL
These guys. Friends of mine, and amazingly-talented young men. Keep an eye out for their album this Fall.
Album of the now? Land of Talk’s Cloak and Cipher. Seriously, get to know it intimately and tell me it’s not amazing.

(from left to right) Taylor Kirk, Simon Trottier and Mika Posen. AKA Timber Timbre. AKA Easily, the sexiest people in my iPod right now.
I have a humongous crush on Taylor Kirk.
Probably the best portrait of the band ever done.

Need something eerie on your playlist? Timber Timbre fits the bill for me.

I have such an unhealthy crush on Chilly Gonzales. Not a bone without talent in that man’s body. He’s stylish and studly to boot.
“The Visual Topography of a Generation Gap”
“A copy was made from my original apartment key, then a copy was made from
that copy. This process was repeated until the original keys information was
destroyed, resulting in the topography of a generation.”

I want to be best friends with both these brilliant and elegant women of Canadian TV.
Laura Calder Brilliant cook who, with a graceful nod to French Living, reinvents the notion of French Cuisine to make it less intimidating. (Protip: Check out Laura’s Tips for an “Oprah’s Fav. Things”-esque esperience.)
Candice Olsen An interior designer who creates utterly breathtaking spaces more than fit for suburban royalty. (Protip: Go to “Meet the Guys” to see my future husband, Terry Edward Briceland.)
